I’m finally done with the novel edits but the short story edits were on my brand new storage device and it broke. At least that won’t take me long to replicate. Maybe I won’t be reading all the snippets in a rush this week.
Still more of These Haunted Hills which is my camp nano. I haven’t written much this week between those edits and having to write and grade three exams. When last scene Josh and Brendan have escaped the haunted hotel but….
Brendan realized that Joshua meant to go back inside (the hotel). “Should we go back in there when that thing is acting full-on poltergeist?”
Joshua paused, twisting around to face Brendan. “It’s the best time to gather evidence but if this is too much for your first time, we can go.”
Brendan regarded the hotel. He wanted to go but how would that advance his research. He was here to document the ghost hunting life. He wanted authenticity to his characters’ fear in their haunted house. He wouldn’t get it if he ran off. “We can go in but maybe it would be in our best interest not to end up in a place with only one exit.”
If you’d like to play along, Rainbow Snippets is a Facebook community where we post up 6 sentences of one of our LGBT stories every Saturday. It’s been fun and you can find it here. Be sure to check out all the offers! It’s been a great supportive group!
He’s braver than me 😀 But still…if they end up holding hands 😀 Sage advice about keeping your exits open

Not yet but they’ll get there.

I’m not sure I’d want to go back in, even for research! I agree, more than one exit is good.

More, more! ~grin~ Best wishes on camp. I’m on target this month, so far, but don’t have to worry about a day job. I wish you all the best. Thank you for sharing. And Happy Writing!

THanks so much. Congrats on being on target. My target is low (i.e. 10K) so I should be able to catch up.

Uh-oh. I’m thinking the ghost can maybe block more than one exit at at time?

You are thinking further ahead than poor Brendan!

Heh, I admire Brendan’s level headedness in the face of Jordan’s determination! Good luck with this and Camp!

Thanks. I’ll need it. Yes Josh’s enthusiasm needs Brendan’s temperance.

Lovely last sentence. A very sound strategy, too. 🙂
