Rainbow Snippets

Been swamped with work interviewing new professors to hire, and nano, and trying to keep this foot up, and managing to finish up the final edits of one of my christmas novellas (I’ll start sharing that as soon as I get the final promo packs)

Still with These Haunted Hill (which I’m working on for nano, in part) and we’re in a potentially haunted house looking it over for a client. And hey I actually have exactly six sentences for a change! We’re in Brendan’s head and he’s been considering how pretty the house is. (Kristen is his ex-wife, amicable divorce and still friends but couldn’t hold it together after their son died)

Some days he wondered why he stayed in the house. Kristen hadn’t wanted it, too many memories. That was one of the reason he held on to it but maybe it was keeping him from moving on too. He wondered what Josh liked and that made his heart race more than the prospect of a ghost on the stairs. Fear, like ice slipped into his core. The idea that he would even think about sharing a house with someone – a someone he hadn’t so much as kissed or gone out with on a real date with – terrified him.

If you’d like to play along, Rainbow Snippets is a Facebook community where we post up 6 sentences of one of our LGBT stories every Saturday. It’s been fun and you can find it here. Be sure to check out all the offers! It’s been a great supportive group!
