Rainbow Snippets

I have so much work I’m ready to cry. On the plus side, finishing the second edits on my upcoming novella which I’ll start snippeting from soonish.

I’m picking up where I left off two weeks ago, Brendan and Josh fleeing the haunted hotel after their first kiss.

Josh nodded, flicking the tip of his tongue against his lips, wetting them. They seemed impossibly dry, all of him so tense he was sure all his juices had been wrung out. “I know. I didn’t feel comfortable making the first move. I didn’t want to do anything to lose your friendship because if that’s all I had of you, it was still more than I ever expected.”

Brendan rubbed his knuckles against his eye. “You are definitely my friend. I think I’m finally ready for more. When I’m with you, I feel happy. Even thinking of Connor now doesn’t make me entirely despair because I know I can talk to you and you’ll find a way to make me smile.”

Josh bit the inside of his lip. He didn’t want to cry but he could do nothing to stop his eyes from misting up. “I’m so glad I could help. That make me smile.”

If you’d like to play along, Rainbow Snippets is a Facebook community where we post up 6 sentences of one of our LGBT stories every Saturday. It’s been fun and you can find it here. Be sure to check out all the offers! It’s been a great supportive group!
