Rainbow Snippets

I had planned on moving onto to a new wip but I’ll be honest, I’m utterly wasted. I had a great time on the steampunk train ride but nearly 3 hours in an un-air conditioned train car in full steampunk gear left me seriously dehydrated because it was 90 degrees with equal humidity. I literally have no idea how women survived that for real in the 1800s and conclude they were made of sterner stuff than I.

So I’ll continue with my Florida psychics. Santino has just did his best Luke Skywalker act for Ryan, showing off with his psychokinesis (and explained that he’s feared being hauled away by the government if they knew which is what Ryan is reacting to in sentence 1)

“I can’t believe you actually showed me when you put it that way.”

Santino shrugged. “Who’d believe you? Maybe a few psychics in town but I’d just play dumb. I’m pretty good at it.”

“I’m not touching that one.”

If you’d like to play along, Rainbow Snippets is a Facebook community where we post up 6 sentences of one of our LGBT stories every Saturday. It’s been fun and you can find it here. Be sure to check out all the offers! It’s been a great supportive group!

  1. Great snippet! Made me smile.

And it never ceases to amaze me that previous generations put up with such uncomfortable clothes in everyday life. Sounds like fun to try just for a few hours, though!

    1. Thank you.

No kidding. I mean these are the clothing of my great grandma, well if she had been upper class at any rate. She probably did have to wear some form of corset as a young woman.

I love dressing up in my various cosplays.
