Trying to deep clean the house after a very long time as my injuries hadn’t really allowed for it. It’s taking forever and I have yet to stop itching (I’m allergic to dust) At least I have a dozen masks to wear to help with this (Yeah I was prepared for the initial masked stage of Covid as I have to clean in masks).
I’m continuing with These Haunted Hills. Last time Josh pointed out Brendan is only in the Hocking Hills area for a short time on research. This is Brendan’s response.
His breath snarled up like his pantleg on the brambles. Going home. Only a week or so ago, he had no plans of ever staying in this bucolic backwater but now, the idea of leaving Josh behind felt like a fall down the stairs, pain everywhere. Heather had pointed out Columbus wasn’t exactly that far away. Everything near Josh – air quotes around the word near – was about an hour away. He’d be no different, if not for the windy roads in these parts. It wasn’t like he made his home in Oregon or something. But even that hour or so distance felt like too much – even though Josh was almost forty minutes from the cabin as is.
